Por primera vez en 72 entregas de los Emmys no hubo alfombra roja o invitados y nominados reunidos en un teatro, sino que debido a las circunstancias actuales la ceremonia se llevó a cabo de manera remota, con camarógrafos acudiendo a la casa de los contendientes y una logística enorme que en sí misma era digna de un premio.
